The Egyptian official Hajj mission said it is on high alert after 220 pilgrims were killed in a stampede in the tent city of Mina on Thursday.
There is no information yet concerning any deaths or injuries among the Egyptian pilgrims, the Egyptian mission said.
The mission is currently contacting Saudi authorities and hospitals to identify the dead's nationalities.
Earlier, the Saudi Civil Defense Service said that 220 pilgrims died in a stampede in the tent city of Mina.
The crush, in which at least 400 others were injured, took place on Street 204 of the camp city at Mina where pilgrims are stoning three pillars symbolizing the devil.
Street 204 is one of the main roads leading camps in Mina to Jamarat, where pilgrims ritually stone the devil.
