An Egyptian citizen, who was injured in a road accident in Sudan early in February, returned to Cairo Friday, Assistant Foreign Minister Hisham el Naquib said.
In a statement, Naquib added that the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum took all needed measures in coordination with Sudanese health authorities to ensure his safety during the flight to Cairo.
An equipped ambulance was provided to transfer him to an Egyptian hospital, the assistant FM said.
The Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum was following his case since the first day of the injury, and contributed to providing necessary expenses needed for his treatment and surgeries in Sudan, he added.
