Transport Minister Hany Dahy inspected Wednesday the Sadat Metro station that was re-opened early in the day for the first time since it was closed in August 2013.
The minister inspected security equipment at the station.
He also met with a number of passengers who were happy the Sadat station was re-opened because this would reduce overcrowding at el Shohadaa station.
Dahy assured the passengers that his Ministry is keen on their comfort and safety.
The minister then took the train to el Ataba station before taking another train to Ard el Maared station on his way back to the Transport Ministry.
