
Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar has said that policemen are exerting utmost efforts to achieve security and protect national interests.
Police are acting to gain the trust and appreciation of the Egyptian people, the minister said in a meeting with a number of his aides and senior Interior Ministry officials in Sharm el Sheikh.
Abdel Ghaffar thanked all troops that contributed to securing activities of the Arab Summit.
He was proud of the troops who implemented the security plan as was supposed to be.
Efforts by policemen and military troops are highly appreciated, the minister told his aides.
The security plan was perfectly and professionally carried out across Egypt during the two-day summit, he said.
He directed that pros of security plans that were implemented during the Arab Summit and the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) be studied.
Troops should remain on high alert to face challenges of the current stage, Abdel Ghaffar said.
