
Acknowledging fondly Kuwait's celebration of the national and liberation days, a number of high-placed Egyptian officials applauded on Wednesday Kuwait's stances over the years vis-@-vis Arab causes including the recent uprising of June 30 in Egypt. In a statement to KUNA, Minister of Social Security Ahmad Al-Buraei said that Egyptians valued the Kuwait embassy's celebration of its national and liberation days and that the government of Egypt was grateful to Kuwait's assistance in the aftermath of the June 30 uprising in Egypt. Echoing the same sentiment was Egyptian Minister of Justice Adel Abdulhameed who also told KUNA he was elated to see Egyptian officials take part in the Kuwaiti embassy's celebrations of the national and liberations days. As for Egypt's Deputy Defense Minister Maj.Gen. Muhammad Al-Assar, he told KUNA that he was cognizant of Kuwait's participation in Egypt's war against Israel in 1973 and appreciated Kuwait's help following the uprising of June 30 and praised the durable relationship the two countries have had. On his part, Chairperson of the State Council in Egypt Farid Tanago praised the bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Egypt on legal matters and lauded the two countries' friendship over so many years.
