Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab briefed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the government's accomplishments in a year.
The announcement was made during a celebration held for inaugurating 39 projects at a cost of about EGP 5 billion.
This coincides with the first anniversary of the President Sisi and his government in power, Mahlab added.
In his speech to Sisi, the premier said that the government endeavored to perform clear and specific tasks, restore the prestige of the state, fight nepotism and appoint employees who are characterized by competence as well as dealing with current issues and problems in all sectors immediately and by innovative methods.
"Although the massive challenges faced by the government, we managed to restore security and stability to the Egyptian street", Mahlab asserted.
He stressed that the government has opened many thorny files and solved several problems within this year.
The government's economic program has made various achievements in the increase of growth rates by 5.6% during the first half of the 2015 year, compared with 1.2% in the same period last year, according to Mahlab.
The increase in the growth rates led to the reduction of unemployment rates from 13.4% to 12.8% and the rise in net income of foreign investments during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2014/2015 to about $ 1.8 billion, versus $ 745 million during the first quarter of the previous fiscal year, Mahlab underlined.
The government sought to reform the subsidy system to ensure that subsidized products reaches those who deserve it, Mahlab noted.
