
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri has today met his Sudanese counterpart Ali Karti and discussed bilateral relations and the current situation unfolding in Libya.
The Sudanese minister briefed his Egyptian counterpart on his recent visits to Libya and the meetings he held there. The two sides also discussed the Egyptian-led efforts to support Libyan institutions and restore security and stability to the neighbouring North African country to ensure its territorial integrity and national unity.
The two ministers underscored the crucial importance of activating the initiative which was launched by the foreign ministries of countries bordering Libya last August.
