
Egypt’s Ambassador to Tunisia Ayman Musharafa on Tuesday paid a visit to a number of polling stations in the country to follow up a run-off election.
In statements to MENA correspondent, Musharafa has hailed as positive climate of the polls, which are seen as a landmark in the country's move to democracy.
The polls held under a democratic and competitive environment characterized by integrity and credibility, he said.
Beji Caid Essebsi, who won the first round with 39% of the vote, is challenging interim leader Moncef Marzouki.
