Palestinian Tourism Minister Rula Maa'yaa expected on Sunday Egypt's tourism sector to recover quickly given its great potentials and skilled tourism cadres.
Egypt is a top tourist destination, she said in an interview with MENA.
Egypt possesses the potentials and strategies that enable it to restore its tourism industry very soon, she said.
Egypt and Palestine are in the same trench of having to deal with the repercussions of terrorism, but the security situation in Egypt is not as dangerous as in Palestine, and is also capable of managing emergency situations, she said.
She said she will visit Egypt soon to lay down a strategy to enable Egyptians visit Islamic and Christian holy places in the Palestinian territories to boost the Palestinian cause.
The visits will be for tourism purposes and will not be a normalization with Israel, she said, adding that such visits will benefit the Palestinian issue at the political and economic levels, she said.
