Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al Araby has called for taking necessary measures to maintain the Arab national security.
Speaking at the 143rd session of the League's permanent delegates here today , the Arab League Chief warned against "grave risks surrounding the Arab World amid rising terrorism, and extremist groups." He referred to the resolution adopted by the Arab Foreign Ministers last September on the conservation of the national security and countering terrorism.
The Arab League Chief said that the consultations he had with the Arab Foreign Ministers over the past period revealed a clear orientation that the issue must be discussed during their Monday meeting.
He stressed the need for adopting amendments to the Arab League charter within the framework of a comprehensive reform process, which requires the approval of seven member states.
He also underlined the importance of endorsing the statute of the Arab Court for Human Rights.
