
The High Elections Committee (HEC) said Tuesday the first day of the runoff of the second phase of the parliamentary elections went on smoothly on Day one.
The runoffs started on November 30 and December 1 for Egyptians abroad, and December 1 and 2 to Egyptians at home.
There was a minor delay in the opening of 17 polling stations out of 12,496 stations.
The total numbers of Egyptians abroad who voted till today at 2 p.m. hit 13,000, said Omar Marwan, spokesman at the HEC.
Elections at all polling stations in North Sinai went on normally, he added.
