
Marking the #UAENationalDay45, the Emirates Diplomatic Academy (EDA) joined on Monday other government entities and educational institutions by hosting a variety of activities.
Reflecting on the pride in the values and principles that have guided the UAE’s leadership and people since the country’s founding in 1971, the EDA organised a special one-day event with a large cultural programme for students and staff.
Attending the National Day celebrations in the Academy’s garden were Bernardino Leon, EDA President and Omar Al Bitar, EDA Vice-President.
Congratulating President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE leadership, Omar Al Bitar, said, "This truly is a day that calls for celebrations. The UAE has undergone tremendous development in the past decades. Our nation is an example of a successful growth model regionally and internationally, based on openness, tolerance and partnership."
"In order to continue the UAE’s successful growth path, the Academy seeks to actively contribute to the success of the nation, not only be honouring this important day, but by actively investing in our nation’s future. By fostering a highly capable future diplomats, and equipping them with the tools, approaches and skills to become a modern 21st century diplomat in support of their county, we are playing our small part in ensuring that the UAE is ready for the next 45 years," he added.
