The United Arab Emirates has sent a ship loaded with 830 tons of relief aid to support the humanitarian situation in Yemen, WAM reported on Thursday.
The ship, which was sent by the Emirates Red Crescent, left the country carrying 650 tons of food materials and 180 tons of medications and medical supplies, to strengthen the areas of humanitarian response for the benefit of those affected by the recent events in Yemen.
The distribution of aid is implemented in coordination and cooperation with regional and international humanitarian organisations currently working in the Yemeni arena, that are playing an active role in alleviating the suffering of those affected and improving humanitarian conditions.
The Emirates Red Crescent is strengthening its efforts in Yemen in the near future to ward off the effects of the Yemeni crisis which has affected a large number of the brotherly people of Yemen.
