
An Abu Dhabi police officer was among more than 1,000 New York Police Department officers who graduated from the city's Police Academy on Tuesday. At the ceremony in Madison Square Garden, police commissioner William Bratton acknowledged Lt Hamid Al Nuaimi for his contribution. "There are 1,123 of you. There are 10 members also from the MTA [Metropolitan Transportation Authority], who are part of this class,” he said. "We, also, for the first time have a foreign representative. "We have Lt Hamid Al Nuaimi from the Abu Dhabi Police force, who attended this class over these last six months with you. "I want to acknowledge him, certainly, for his contribution.”
