Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr, who is visiting the Kingdom to participate in a ministerial meeting on Syria. The prime minister discussed with the minister bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region, particularly the Syrian crisis. Ensour renewed Jordan’s call for a halt to violence, destruction and bloodshed in Syria and finding a solution to the ongoing crisis. He highlighted the massive burdens borne by Jordan due to hosting more than half a million Syrian refugees since the beginning of the crisis. The Egyptian Foreign Minister said his country’s appreciates Jordan’s efforts in hosting such a large number of refugees, stressing Egypt’s position to cooperate with all efforts to put an end to the Syrian crisis and achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people.
