The Emirates Red Crescent has distributed 1000 Iftar meals at Al-Aqsa Mosque yards over the past two days as part of its Ramadan Programme in Palestine.
The Emirates Red Crescent's office in Palestine oversaw hosting Iftar banquets, which saw a large turnout for its continued presence in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa years ago.
Sheikh Azzam Khatib, Director-General of Jerusalem's Awqaf Department said that the Emirates Red Crescent has a continuous presence in the Al-Aqsa.
He pointed out that food is distributed daily among the fasters in Khassaki Sultan Tekke, which is sponsored by the Emirates Red Crescent and provides about a thousand daily Iftar meals.
