
The Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC), yesterday provided a new batch of vehicles to the Yemeni Ministry of Education in Aden.
The gesture is part of the authority's efforts to enhance services of the ministry due to the current situation in Yemen.
The vehicles were handed over to the ministry's office in Aden in the presence of ERC representatives and Yemen's Ministry of Education officials.
In a press release, ERC confirmed that promoting educational services in Yemen at the current stage is deemed a priority in order to restore normality to life. It also noted that its plans in this regard include a number of sectors, including the rehabilitation and maintenance of schools and educational institutions and furnishing them with equipment and teaching aids as well as provisions for students with school requirements.
Mohammed Roqaibi, Director of the Ministry of Education in Aden, hailed the important role played by ERC to improve the educational services in Aden and other governorates. He also extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE's government and people for supporting the Yemenis.
