
Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative at the Arab League, in coordination with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has overseen the process of shipping a second batch of humanitarian aid, which includes 200 tons of medicine, food, and blankets, to the Gaza Strip as part of the UAE Compassion campaign, Tarahmu, which was launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and followed up by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Al Dhaheri directed the members of the diplomatic mission at the embassy to coordinate and cooperate with the ERC to dispatch the second batch of aid convoys, which reached the Rafah border crossing and were received by the Palestine Red Crescent Society for distribution among the Palestinian people.
Officials of the Palestine Red Crescent Society commended the grant which will help alleviate the suffering of tens of thousands of Palestinians. They also expressed their sincere appreciation and respect for His Highness the President, His Highness the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
