The meeting was chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi, and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission, Federica Mogherini.

The meeting, which coincides with the 15 year anniversary of the entry into force of the Jordan-EU Association
agreement, was also attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Emad Fakhouri, Secretary General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Bakr Abbadi and the Jordanian Ambassador to Brussels, Yousef Batayneh.

During the meeting, Safadi affirmed the success and the constructive partnership between Jordan and the European Union, expressing the Kingdom’s appreciation of the EU support and positive stances towards the region’s issues.

During the meeting, Safadi reviewed Jordan’s political and economic reform programs under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein.
