Fatah has welcomed Egypt's decision to re-open Rafah terminal, said Ahmed Abbas, spokesman for the group.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo are exerting ongoing efforts with the Egyptian leadership to alleviate the suffering of the Gazans, said Assaf in press statements.
He called on Hamas, which control the Gaza Strip, to hand crossings in the enclave to the national coalition government.
Hamas rejects handing crossings and is working to fail all efforts exerted by the government, he said.
Hamas is an integrated part of the Palestinian territories, he added.
