
The first batch of Gaza pilgrims headed for Rafah border terminal with Egypt on Monday to cross their way to Saudi Arabia where they will perform Hajj rituals.
The batch, that includes 800 pilgrims, will cross Rafah to Cairo Airport where they will fly to Saudi Arabia.
This year's hajj season for Gazans is problem-free and that all visas for pilgrims were issued, Gaza Awqaf Undersecretary Hassan Saifi said.
Around 6,000 Palestinian pilgrims will perform hajj this year, including 2,450 from Gaza Strip.
