First batch of stranded Yemenis arrive in Sanaa

The first batch of Yemeni citizens stranded abroad arrived Sanaa international airport Wednesday after war broke out in the country 50 days ago.
An official source at Sanaa international airport said in a press statement that 115 of the Yemeni citizens stranded in Jordan arrived at the airport Monday aboard a Jordanian Airlines as part of efforts by the government of Khaled Bahah aimed to repatriate all Yemenis stranded in various countries around the world.
The source said that 150 foreigners belonging to various nationalities left aboard the same plane in addition to naturalized Yemenis naturalized and humanitarian cases, noting that two aircraft of the Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross arrived at Sanaa airport carrying doctors, medical and therapeutic assistance for Yemen.
Earlier, the Yemeni government has allocated USD 30 million to follow conditions of Yemenis stranded abroad to secure their repatriation to Yemen via airports and seaports.
