
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Sunday a meeting with Algerian minister of state for foreign affairs Abdel-Qader Mesahel.
The talks tackled coordination between the two states over the situation in Libya.
They also discussed ways of cementing bilateral relations as well the regional issues especially the situation in Libya.
Shoukry stressed the importance of achieving reconciliation among the Libyan parties, fighting terrorism and supporting the legitimate government in Libya.
Mesahel, meanwhile, said there is political and security coordination between Egypt and Algeria to fight terrorism, not only in Libya but in the Arab region as a whole.
He also shed light on cooperation between the two states at the regional and international levels to serve mutual interests.
He concluded that Egypt, Algeria and Italy will hold a meeting within the coming days to settle the Libyan crisis.
