
First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is scheduled to head the State of Kuwait delegation at the extraordinary session of the Arab League ministerial council scheduled in Cairo on Saturday.
The minister, due to depart the country, early on Saturday, would also chair a meeting of the Arab peace initiative committee, scheduled ahead of the ministerial meeting. It will be attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who will give a briefing about latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and Israel's practices in Jerusalem.
The minister will be accompanied by a number of ministry officials.
The Arab League had announced the extraordinary meeting would follow up on implementation of previous resolutions regarding the Palestinian issue, the Israeli hostile acts in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli settlements, the Arab national security and combating terrorism.
