The Foreign Ministry urged Kuwaiti citizens travelling or residing abroad to adhere to the laws of the respected nations where they are present.
"The Foreign Ministry calls on citizens intending to travel or who currently reside abroad - for tourism, treatment or other purposes - to adhere and commit to local laws and systems applied by these respective nations," said a Ministry statement to KUNA.
The call is being made "to protect the reputation of the State of Kuwait abroad, in order to avoid any legal accountability and to reflect the well-known civilised image of the Kuwaiti citizen," concluded the statement.
