French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on Monday called for an urgent meeting of Syria task force charged with overseeing the halt of fighting in view of reports on several attacks carried out against moderate opposition sites in Syria.
The statements were made by the French top diplomat during his participation at the 31st Session of the Human Rights Council at the U.N. European headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
"All this needs to be verified. France has therefore demanded that the task force charged with overseeing the cessation of hostilities meet without delay." the French diplomat said.
Syrian opposition has reported many violations to the truce which came into effect Friday night to halt all hostilities among warring parties except the areas controlled by Daesh and Al Nusra Front.
The truce is the first of its kind since the outbreak of violence in Syria five years ago. The war in Syria killed more than 270,000 persons and displaced millions of others to neighboring countries.
