
Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al Ubeidi conferred on Monday with French Ambassador here Marc Barety on support that could be extended by France to Iraq as part of the international coalition against Daesh.
During the meeting, the French ambassador said his country is ready to offer all-out support to the Iraqi troops in their fight against Daesh, asserting that the Iraqi troops have achieved a victory in Ramadi city, the main city of Anbar province.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi defense minister urged the international community and France to seriously back Iraq to continue its victories, defeat terrorism and liberate the areas usurped by Daesh militants.
