
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault is scheduled to participate in a meeting of an Arab League (AL) min-committee concerned with the Mideast peace process.
According to the French Embassy in Cairo, Ayrault will expound the French initiative to hold an international conference to revive the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis.
The French foreign minister will arrive in Cairo Wednesday on a two-day visit, during which he will meet President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
The talks with the Egyptian side will address bilateral relations and regional files,
French Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said.
Ayrault will also meet with representatives of the Egyptian civil society, Nadal said.
His accompanying delegation will include special envoy for the peace summit initiative Pierre Vimont.
