Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) kicked off here on Thursday their 134th session with the participation of Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
The meeting, chaired by Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, will consider a number of topics related to the march of the GCC joint action and what has so far been implemented of decisions and recommendations issued by the Supreme Council at its last session, as well as topics related to strategic dialogue with other countries and groups, in addition to the reports of ministerial committees.
It will also examine the latest Arab, regional and international developments and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region, particularly the Yemeni crisis and the risk of terrorist threats against the security and stability of the region.
The GCC foreign ministers held two extraordinary meetings last January and February to discuss the situation in Yemen in the wake of fierce intermittent clashes between presidential guard forces and Houthi groups.
