Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Salem al Zamanan said Friday that a visit by his country's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali al Ghanim to Egypt aims to boost bilateral relations in various fields.
In a statement, Zamanan said that Ghanim will meet with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday to discuss bilateral relations and ways to promote them.
Ghanim arrived in Cairo earlier in the day and was received at the airport by Kuwait's Permanent Representative at the Arab League Ahmed al Baker and Kuwaiti diplomats in Cairo.
The Kuwaiti parliament speaker is in the Egyptian capital as part of a tour that will also take him to Geneva, where he will hold talks with officials of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
