Kuwait's hosting of the third donors conference to raise funds for humanitarian relief for war-torn Syria received great contentment from international humanitarian organizations, Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to the UN Office and International Organizations in Geneva Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim said here on Wednesday.
He added in remarks to KUNA that this step is profoundly hailed by Under-Secretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos.
She applauded the wisdom of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in dealing with international humanitarian causes, especially the Syrian crisis.
She expressed her boundless content over Kuwait's initiative to host the conference, as Syrian refugees' problems are intensively increasing.
World Health Organization (WHO), UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), World Food Programme (WFP), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) are to take part in the upcoming donors conference.
