
Governors of regions held in Jeddah province Sunday evening their 22nd annual meeting headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Crown Prince welcomed the governors and conveyed to them the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, stressing the king's directives to facilitate all matters for citizens wherever they are in the governorates of different regions, and to promote security and comprehensive development and serve the homeland and the citizens' interests.
The Crown Prince said that the meeting discussed the topics on the agenda which focused on modernization and development of the Regions' Regulation, ways and means of measuring the governors' and heads of centers' performance, the reality of slums and their causes and methods of treatment, national awareness and ways of strengthening it, relationship of the governorate with a region's secretariat and ways of developing and upgrading them.
The crown prince stated that the governors reached a number of decisions and recommendations that were sent to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Prime Minister, in an integrated report on the work and the results of this meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Crown Prince announced the king's approval of King Abdullah Project to Develop the Work at the Regions' Governorates (Riyadah) which will make a qualitative leap in the work of the governorates and the services provided to citizens, expressing deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his unlimited support for the regions' governorates.
