A group of Palestinians staying at Al Aqsa Mosque have voiced intention to protect the holy mosque and preserve its Islamic identity.
Their remarks come in response to a decision by Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon to outlaw two Palestinian groups active at the Al Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.
Worshipers converged on the mosque despite Israeli strict measures to pray and recite the Holy Quran.
The Israeli decision is seen as yet another dangerous escalation by the occupation forces against the "Murabitat and Murabitun" groups at Al Aqsa, who called for an Islamic reaction that is up to that threat level.
