
A gunman was arrested for firing birdshot pellets outside the Three Pyramids Hotel in Haram district, Giza, an official at the media information center at the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
In a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, the official said about 15 people gathered at one of the side streets surrounding the Three Pyramids Hotel and while passing in front of the hotel they fired fireworks.
The statement added that one of the assembled people fired birdshot pellets towards the security forces stationed outside the hotel, causing some damage to the hotel’s facade and a nearby tourist bus.
No one was hurt in the attack, added the statement.
A manhunt was launched to arrest the other elements involved in the incident.
