
H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has attended the opening of the new VIP terminal building at Al Bateen Executive Airport.
The terminal was designed for, and dedicated to, VIPs, their guests, heads of state, diplomats and businessmen. The building is considered an architectural masterpiece designed according to the latest international standards, and covers an area of 2,200 sq.m.. The terminal complies with the most important sustainability criteria.
Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, said, "To ensure that we provide the best services for VIPs, we have designed and developed the building in line with the latest standards, where the building is further evidence of our commitment to be the pioneers in airport infrastructure designs as part of our efforts to achieve our vision to be the world's leading airports group."
Abu Dhabi Airports is a public joint-stock company, wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government. Created in 2006 to spearhead the redevelopment of the Emirate's aviation infrastructure, Abu Dhabi Airports plays an important role in the Government of Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision 2030.
It is the first dedicated business aviation and private jet airport in the Middle East and North Africa and enjoys a strategic position in the heart of the city of Abu Dhabi. The airport currently has a stand capacity for up to 90 private jets. Al Bateen Executive Airport launched DhabiJet in 2011 to be its main Fixed Base Operator.
