Head of Arab League mission for monitoring polls meets chairman of HEC

Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Head of the Arab League (AL) Mission entrusted with following up Parliamentary elections, met on Thursday with Chairman of the Higher Election Commission (HEC) Ayman Abbas to discuss the various issues related to these elections.
In a press statement, Haifa Abu Ghazaleh said that she has submitted during the meeting a draft memorandum of understanding clarifying the role of the AL mission in monitoring the upcoming polls.
She added that this memo is expected to be signed within coming few days.
They agreed to continue coordination and coordination between Egypt and the AL during the coming period.
