Head of the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) Ahmed Hamed made Friday a surprise visit to Ramses station to see for himself how work is going.
Hamed inspected platforms, ticket outlets, and the trains.
He directed to increase the ticket outlets and stressed that ENR observers should make the trains are operational and clean. He urged observers to also act with railway police to guarantee passengers are safe and properly served.
Customer service agents should be present around the clock at the station to ease procedures for passengers, Hamed ordered.
He praised full coordination between the ENR and police to assure passenger security.
