The Heart-to-Heart Campaign has concluded its mission to cure hundreds of Egyptians under the supervision of an Emirati, Egyptian, Saudi, and French medical and surgical volunteer team.
The campaign was a joint effort by the Zayed Giving Initiative at the Saudi German Hospital and the Dar Al Ber Charity to take action based on humanitarian ideals and the concept of accepting social responsibility for underprivileged groups.
The Heart-to-Heart Campaign aimed to raise the community's awareness of cardiac diseases and the best methods of prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, which is the most common cause of death in the region.
Statistics indicate that 85 percent of heart disease can be prevented through early detection and by following preventive health care methods.
The campaign provided free treatment, including free surgery, to hundreds of patients.
