
Only one death has been reported in Suez since the heatwave hit Egypt few days ago, the Health Ministry undersecretary said.
In statements Saturday, Lotfi Abdel Samie said 30 cases suffered heat stroke in Suez, including one dead.
All remaining patients were discharged from hospital, except two cases are in the intensive care, he said, warning people from direct exposure to the sun light.
In Qalioubiya, Health Ministry Undersecretary Mohamed Lashin said hospitals are on high alert and needed medicine is available.
On Friday, the Health Ministry said the death toll from a heatwave in Egypt has risen to 93.
