Hezbollah, Democratic Gathering backs Berri's call for dialogue

Hezbollah and the Democratic Gathering on Monday welcomed a call by Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri for a national dialogue session next month to discuss solutions to the country’s political deadlock.

In a statement released by the part’s Media Relations, “Hezbollah voices full support for the dialogue initiative launched by Speaker Nabih Berri .”

The group hailed Nabih Berri initiative as a “serious opportunity” to get out of the current political deadlock in the country.

In the meantime, Head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt on Monday voiced support for the fresh initiative on dialogue launched by Speaker Nabih Berri.

"Once again, we welcome this dialogue which remains the sole means to reach agreement among the Lebanese and overcome the difficult challenges in Lebanon and the region," he told Al Anbaa electronic newspaper.

On Sunday, Nabih Berri called for a political dialogue session that joins the leaders of different parliamentary blocs and the Prime Minister Tamam Salam.
