Security forces at Suez governorate stepped up their presence on Suez-Sharm el Sheikh road and the martyr Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel in cooperation with security forces of South Sinai.
The move came as the African economic blocs' summit is held in Sharm el Sheikh.
There is full coordination between security and army forces in Suez and Sinai, said head of Suez security chief Tarek el Gazar.
He also said that inspection procedures are very accurate on cars which drive through the martyr Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel, which links Suez with Sinai.
