Homs governor Talal al-Barazi stressed the necessity of expediting a restoration of services to Bab Sba’ neighborhood in Homs, including water, electricity, sewage networks, communications and schools.
Al-Barazi, whose comments came during a visit he paid on Sunday to the neighborhood during which he met the dignitaries and locals, spoke to SANA about the need to set the stage for the locals of the old district to return in the wake of re-establishing security and stability.
Central among priorities is having schools repaired and rehabilitated to accommodate students with the school year drawing closer, the governor said.
Local officials, for their part, said maintenance and repair workshops have almost finished work to ensure a return of basic services to the neighborhood.
