The Houthi Ansar Allah group closed several news websites and channel offices in Sanaa to silence criticizing voices in the media in response to the “Operation Decisive Storm.”
The group closed online news websites and attacked the offices of Yemeni satellite channels “Suhail” and “Al Saeeda” in addition to “Al Jazeera.”
The move comes after the Shiite group had taken control over the official media, which did not cover the airstrikes against the capital but reported denunciations issued by the Houthis and comments by other countries over the situation in the country.
Saudi Arabia and allies have launched military operations including air strikes against Houthi forces after the Houthis carried out an assault to seize Aden, where the Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi had taken refuge.
