
The Houthis said here on Friday that they would announce their stance on the resignation of Yemen's President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi after the parliament's decision on this matter according to constitutional measures.
In a news statement issued by what it described as "revolutionary committees", the Houthi group called on the military leaders to bear their historic and revolutionary responsibilities, ease positions and do their regular duties according the interest of Yemen and Yemeni people. The statement urged Houthis' supporters to take to streets and organize rallies at noon on Friday for backing what was described as "revolutionary steps".
Meanwhile, armed Houthis broke into the parliament's building in Sanaa this morning and imposed a siege on the houses of some senior officials, including ministers of defense and legal affairs.
A close source to Legal Affairs Minister Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi said that some armed Houthis have imposed a siege on the minister's house since last night.
