The Houthi group called on members of the House of Representatives, which it dissolved last Friday, to register their names in the interim national council the group planned to form in the coming days.
The so-called Constitutional Declaration states that every member of House of Representative has the right to participate in the interim national council, the Revolutionary Committee of the Houthi group said in a statement.
Members of the house of representatives who wish to join the interim national council can register their names as of tomorrow Monday until February 12, it noted.
The Houthis announced their constitutional declaration last Friday, in which it dissolved parliament, and assigned the revolutionary committee to form interim national council, government and presidential council The declaration, announced two days ago, also formed a five-member presidential council to run the country's affairs for two years.
The 16-article constitutional declaration also entitles that the Houthi revolutionary committee to form a new government and 551-member national assembly to replace the resigned government and the dissolved parliament respectively.
It also said that the interim authorities will also write a new constitution and complete the formation of the new constitutional institutions in two years.
The move appears to complete Houthis takeover of the country's political establishment after they seized control of the capital Sanaa and the presidential palace last month.
Yemen's embattled president Abd Rabbu Mansur Hadi resigned soon after his palace was seized on January 20 amid a heated standoff with the powerful rebels.
Regional and international organizations condemned the Houthis' take over of power and called for abiding by the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism as well as outcome of the national dialogue.
