The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, today received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, at Al Auja Palace in the Diriyah area in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud Al-Saud, Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Chief of the Royal Court, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Representative of His Majesty the King Hamad for Charity and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and a number of senior Bahraini ministers and officials.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness conveyed His Majesty King Hamad's best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to all the people of Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness emphasised that, in this new phase of the two Kingdoms’ historic relationship, he remains committed to advancing Saudi-Bahraini ties and achieving greater levels of collaboration across a wide range of strategic areas that benefit both economies.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the visit of His Royal Highness to the Kingdom, and highlighted that the visit will play a crucial role in building on and expanding close cooperation between the two nations. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also extended his best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad, and to the people of Bahrain, for their future prosperity.
His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ unwavering commitment to supporting Bahrain, noting that these ongoing efforts are truly representative of the deep historic ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
His Royal Highness went on to highlight the role that Saudi Arabia plays in driving strategic development initiatives across the GCC, which he said has been central to meeting the shared aspirations and goals of GCC states and their citizens. His Royal Highness concluded by highlighting Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in advancing the development of the region as a whole.
Following the meeting, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud hosted a lunch banquet in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation.
