The Human Rights Commission confirmed today that the judicial rulings against the 47 condemned-to-death individuals do enforce justice, fulfill the legitimate and legal requirements, and protect the society and its security and stability.
The Human Rights Commission also said that the terrorist crimes committed by the 47 individuals were the most serious crimes, adding that these crimes have resulted in the killing of scores of innocent civilians, military personnel, citizens and expatriates.
The Human Rights Commission emphasized that it followed-up and attended the trials, and made sure that the trial proceedings were made in accordance with the legitimate and legal procedures and that the sentenced individuals were given the established legal guarantees. The Commission also said that the cases were considered by three judges in the Specialized Criminal Court and the sentences were appealed before five judges in the Court of Appeal. The sentences were judicially reviewed before five judges in the Supreme Court.
The Human Rights Commission stressed that the achievement of justice and the protection of human rights requires the implementation of judicial rulings as well as the implementation of sentences against whoever violates the rights, kills the innocent and threatens security and stability.
The Human Rights Commission prayed to Allah Almighty to protect this country and bestow continuous security and stability on it, under the wise leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince.
