
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab witnessed on Thursday the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Awqaf Ministry and Cairo Governorate to develop Al Manyal district in Old Cairo.
The protocol was inked by the governor of Cairo, the head of the central agency for reconstruction, and the head of the Egyptian endowments authority.
Under the protocol, a space of 21,000 square meters will be developed to establish 21 residential buildings.
The project includes service and investment buildings and a shopping mall.
The Egyptian endowments authority will provide all necessary funds for the project.
Ministers of local development, Awqaf, housing, health, were among the attendees.
