
Eight members of the Peshmerga were killed and wounded on Sunday 24, August in a bomb explosion, in Jalula, northeast of Baquba, capital of Diyala province.
A security source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "An explosive device was planted on the side of a road near the Husni village in Jalawla district, went off , targeting a convoy of Peshmerga forces, killing three elements and wounding five others."
He added: "a force of Peshmerga cordoned off the scene and transported the dead and injured to a hospital in Khanaqin," .
