
The International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) President Abdullah Al-Maatouq handed Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby an official invitation to attend the third donors' conference for Syrian refugees to be hosted by Kuwait on March 31.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Maatouq, also Advisor at the Amiri Diwan, said he had discussed with Al-Araby a number of challenges, problems and events which the region is witnessing.
The discussions focused also on the necessity of unifying stances of Arab countries to counter terrorism, he added.
On his part, Al-Araby welcomed the invitation to take part in the conference that will be held under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In a similar remark to KUNA, he affirmed the league's keenness on finding an urgent solution to the Syrian crisis to alleviate the sufferings of refugees.
